How to use the TAKAYAMA-HOKURIKU Tourist Pass
Delivery
- We will send the physical voucher to your home address, so please order allowing sufficient time for delivery. (The paper voucher is not a ticket, you cannot use it without exchange)
- Please do not forget to bring your paper voucher to Japan.
Exchange
You will need to exchange your voucher for a usable tourist pass after arriving in Japan. You will need to present your passport at the time of exchange.

Validity
A combination of buses, trains, and Shinkansen bullet trains are accessible with this pass.
The following lines and facilities are available for use with the Takayama-Hokuriku Tourist Pass:
Cancellation and Modification
An unused voucher is refundable for one year from the date of issue.
The voucher can be refunded if it has never been exchanged in Japan.
A cancellation fee of 15% of the voucher price will be retained.
No refund is possible for a voucher received by us more than one year from the date of issue.
A refund is not possible for a lost or stolen pass.
Eligibility
Visitors traveling as tourists who have a temporary visitor entry status are eligible for this pass. Japanese passport holders are not eligible for this pass.

Visit Kanazawa, the center of contemporary art and traditional products and crafts. The city is also home to the famous Kenroku-en garden, known as one of Japan's three most beautiful gardens.
Explore the Japanese Alps by bus (Nohi bus, Hokuetsu bus from Takayama and Kanazawa; Kaetsuno bus from Shin-Takaoka), passing through the well-preserved village of Shirakawa-go, with its traditional thatched roofs, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Be charmed by Takayama, a small mountain town with many traditional houses and artisan shops. This pass will also allow you to travel to Kyoto, Osaka, Kansai Airport and Nagoya, but it does not cover the Tokaido Shinkansen between Nagoya, Kyoto and Shin-Osaka.
Pass holders are allowed to make up to four reservations each on Limited Express trains (excluding reserved seats on the "Haruka Airport Express"), and unlimited rides on ordinary trains, non-reserved cars on Limited Express trains, non-reserved seats in the ordinary cars of the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
