Yotsubashi Subway Line
The Yotsubashi Subway Line in Osaka runs north-south from Nishi-Umeda to Suminoekoen Station. Yotsubashi Subway Line runs through Namba and Yotsubashi stations in central Osaka.
Osaka Subway: Yotsubashi Line 四つ橋線
The Yotsubashi Line (color-coded dark blue) is an Osaka subway line operated by Osaka Municipal Subway running north-south approximately 11km between Nishi-Umeda in the north west of Osaka to Suminoekoen in the south west.
The Yotsubashi Line has 11 stations and was built in stages from 1942 to 1972.
Yotsubashi Line Stations
The 11 stations of the Yotsubashi Line are: Nishi-Umeda, Higobashi, Hommachi, Yotsubashi, Namba, Daikokucho, Hanazonocho, Kishinosato, Tamade, Kitakagaya and Suminoekoen.
Nishi-Umeda Station
Nishi-Umeda Station (西梅田駅; Y11) is located in the shopping and entertainment area of Umeda in north Osaka. Nishi-Umeda Station is located near to the Herbis Osaka, Herbis ENT and Hilton Plaza East shopping malls. The station is within easy walking distance of both the Hilton Osaka Hotel and the Osaka Dai-ichi Hotel within the Osaka Marubiru Building. Nishi-Umeda is a short walk south of the JR Osaka Station City.
Nishi-Umeda Station connects with the Midosuji Line and Tanimachi Line of the Osaka subway, the JR Osaka Loop Line, Tokaido Main Line (JR Kyoto Line, JR Kobe Line and JR Takarazuka Line) at Osaka Station, the JR Tozai Line at Kitashinchi Station, just to the south, the Hanshin Main Line, and the Kobe Line, Takarazuka Line and Kyoto Line of Hankyu Railways at Umeda Station.
Higobashi Station
Higobashi Station (肥後橋; Y12) connects with the Keihan Railway Nakanoshima Line at nearby Watanabebashi Station on the Okawa River at Nakanoshima.
Hommachi Station
Hommachi (本町; Y13) in Chuo-ku connects with the Midosuji Line and Chuo Line of the Osaka subway.
Yotsubashi Station
Yotsubashi Station (四ツ橋駅; Y14) in Nishi-ku connects with the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line and Midosuji Line at nearby Shinsaibashi Station in Shinsaibashi.
Namba Station
Namba Station (難波; Y15) in Namba, central Osaka, connects with the Midosuji Line and the Sennichimae Line of Osaka subway and is a major dining, entertainment and shopping hub in Osaka.
Namba has four main stations all connected: JR Namba Station, Osaka Namba Station, Nankai Namba Station and Namba Municipal Subway Station. Connections from Namba Station include the Nankai Main Line to Koyasan, the Kintetsu Line to Kintetsu Nagoya Station in Nagoya and Kintetsu Nara Station in Nara, and the JR Kansai Main Line, which connects JR Namba Station and JR Nagoya Station with local trains. The Hanshin Namba Line has trains to Amagasaki Station.
Daikokucho Station
Daikokucho Station (大国町駅; Y16) connects with the Midosuji Line of Osaka subway with passengers able to stay on the same platform to make connections for trains in the same direction. Daikokucho Station is also four blocks west of Imamiyaebisu Station on the Nankai Main Line.
Hanazonocho Station
Hanazonocho Station (花園町駅; Y17) in Nishinari-ku is a short walk from Haginochaya Station on the Nankai Main Line.
Kishinosato Station
Kishinosato Station (岸里駅; Y18) in Nishinari-ku, close to Nishinari-ku Ward Office, is a short walk from Tengachaya Station on the Nankai Main Line.
Tamade Station
Tamade Station (玉出; Y19) is located at the junction of the busy Nanko Dori to Osaka Ferry Terminal.
Kitakagaya Station
Kitakagaya Station (北加賀屋; Y20) in Suminoe-ku, opened in 1972 in the last extension of the line.
Trains on the Yotsubashi Line run from around 5am until midnight, 7 days a week with reduced services at the weekends and public holidays.
Suminoekoen Station
Suminoekoen Station (住之江公園; Y21) connects with the Nanko Port Town Line (New Tram) to Osaka Port.
