We’re talked about Japan Railways trivia and its tiny stations before, but here’s one we hadn’t heard of!
Did you know that a station in Hokkaido remains open for a single passenger?
Trains stop at station twice a day for a lone school girl: once to take her to school, and once to take her back home.
Although the station was intended to close in 2012, it stayed open until March of 2016, when the student will graduate from high school.
Unfortunately, these days this student’s story has gone viral and train fanatics, whose hobby include taking photographs of Japanese trains, are rumored to have harassed the girl into posing for photos.
