History
The Yurakucho Line was built in stages from 1974 until 1988. The first section was the line between Ikebukuro and Ginza-itchome followed by the connection from Narimasu to Ikebukuro in 1983. In 1987 the line was extended from Narimasu to Wakoshi.

Gokokuji - Gokokuji Temple - uniquely preserved - is very near Gokokuji Station.

Iidabashi - with connections to the Tozai Line, Namboku Line, Chuo-Sobu Line, Toei Oedo Line.
Ichigaya - with connections to the Namboku Line, Chuo-Sobu Line, Toei Shinjuku Line.
Kojimachi - a business district near the western edge of the Imperial Palace with a lot of good dining opportunities. From Exit 1 of Kojimachi Station, Hanzomon Station on the Hanzomon line is less than 5 minutes walk away, towards the Imperial Palace.
Nagatacho - with connections to the Hanzomon Line, Namboku Line, Ginza Line at Akasaka-mitsuke, Marunouchi Line at Akasaka-mitsuke.
Sakuradamon - Neaby the Sakuradamon Gate.

Ginza-itchome - Access to the famous Ginza shopping district.

The first Yurakucho Line train leaves Wakoshi at 5.00am with the last train all the way to Shin-Kiba at 11.46pm.
The first Yurakucho Line train leaves Shin-Kiba at 5.00am with the last train all the way to Shin-Kiba at 11.50pm and to Ikebukuro at 12.08am.
Subway services are a little less frequent on weekends and public holidays. There are things you can do if you miss the last subway and have to wait until the first train the next morning.
